The 2023 Season started off with some fast and furious racing at the TF Lite aquathlon which consisted of a 500m Swim / 2.5km Run aquathlon as part of the Triathlon Association of Singapore’s Southeast Asian Games (SEA) selection trials. The weekend saw Singapore’s top male and female multisport athletes line up along Palawan Beach, Sentosa Island early in the morning as they vied for top spots for qualification points.

Unlike the conventional sprint distance format, this year’s Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia features the World Triathlon Mixed Relay (Aquathlon) – a lung bursting super sprint format - where two male and two female athletes from each participating nation will team up to bring their nation to glory over four legs.

In their first official national selection race in an open category – the development squad put up a strong performance with five out of seven finishing in the top ten – well done team!
